New Jaguar XF

New improved exterior and interior design, lots of technology, and great attention to detail are the main aspects of the new Jaguar XF.
Under the hood
The new Jaguar XF is powered by a next-generation, 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium turbocharged diesel engine featuring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology and the latest 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine. The former provides 201hp and acceleration from 0-100km/h in either 7.1 seconds for XF Saloon or 7.5 seconds for XF Sportbrake and the latter provides two choices – 246hp or 296hp going from 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds and 5.8 seconds respectively. All variants feature Jaguar’s eight-speed automatic gearbox, that can be controlled with the steering wheel shift paddles.
The new exterior design makes the front of the vehicle visually wider via the front bumpers’ larger and lower air intakes and a wider front grille and the rear – visually lower via a body-colored rear upper valance and a wider bumper. A nice touch are the iconic Leaper emblems on the side fender vents. The new super slim all-LED quad headlights feature Adaptive Driving Beam, which monitors the road ahead and automatically adapts the high beam light to optimize visibility. Auto High Beam Assist is also available on SE and HSE models, which uses the forward-facing camera to automatically switch between high and low beam, so that other drivers aren’t dazzled.

More Luxury and Advanced Technology
Luxury is enhanced with the new design of the interior with carefully selected materials and great attention to detail. It features a centrally-mounted 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen, connected to the new Pivi Pro infotainment system. It now offers better clarity, a brighter and larger screen, a simplified menu, which allows drivers to access or view up to 90 per cent of common tasks from the home screen in two taps or less. The vehicle is packed with technology, which ensures upmost convenience and well-being for the driver and passengers. Even the quality of air has been taken care of by the Cabin Air Ionisation which uses Nanoe technology and filtration to remove allergens and unpleasant odors and capture ultra-fine particles.

Apart from better air, less fatigue is also experienced thanks to the Segment-first Active Road Noise Cancellation technology, which monitors vibrations from the road surface and calculates the opposite phase sound wave needed to remove the low-frequency noise, the long exposure to which makes us tired. For customers to feel safer, Guardian Mode is now featured in the Secure Tracker Pro subscription. It allows them to identify times when the vehicle will not be in use and be alerted through their smartphone if it is used during this window. In addition to the latest generation of driver assistance technology, such as alerting passengers to an approaching vehicle when exiting the car and automatically maintaining a set distance from the vehicle in front, in order to perfect and facilitate the driver’s experience, the new XF features a 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display with improved graphics and a configurable layout which can show full screen navigation mapping, media, amongst other features.Jaguar’s ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirroravailableon new XF Saloonusesa wide angle rear-facing camera, which directsimages to a high-definition screen within the rear view mirror. This gives the driver a full clear view, which otherwise might get blocked by certain objects. The Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) makes sure the XF is always using an up-to-date software. And if that wasn’t enough ease and convenience, Jaguar are adding more in the buying process, as well. They will implement a new ‘browse, buy, drive away’ approach that will be trialed with the launch of the new XF. It is set to adjust and match online and offline pricing so that buyers know they’ll get the equivalent price, however they choose to purchase.
